Are you looking for a short insight into Adventure and Ocean Rowing? Then the evening lake sessions in Norway are for you.

Norjsø is situated in Sor-Øst (South-East) Norway. 28km at its full length and 5km at its widest point, Norsjø straddles the municipalities of Skien, Nome and Midt-Telemark. In addition to being connected to the Telemarkskanalen (Telemark Canal), most of the rivers in Telemark flow into lake Norsjø.

During the summer months, daylight can be up to 20 hours. This gives us time to get into a good shift of rowing and experience the beauty of Lake Norsjø with the potential to take in a sunset over the mountains. The evening expeditions consist of a 4–5-hour session where you will learn the basics of rowing and living on-board an Ocean Rowing boat. We can tailor these expeditions to any level of experience. There are other opportunities on the lake such as fishing, sauna and wild swimming. With various islands and wildlife reserves there is plenty to see whilst rowing. We can put you through your paces or we can take a more relaxed and enjoyable approach, remember this is your mini adventure.

Starting at one of the guest harbors (to be determined the weekend prior), we will progress along our chosen route practicing various boat drills, cooking on-board in a confined cabin, have a go at steering on a bearing, navigation by map or GPS. Or, if you’re not rowing you can relax in the cabin and listen to the sound of the oars stroking the water and imagine you are on a faraway Ocean. If there is anything specific you want to go through or understand we will take the time to cover it. During these expeditions we will cover the following:

1.Introduction to Skipper Glyn Sadler & Ocean Rowing boat Little Nell

2.Dock side safety brief

3.Fit up for harness and buoyancy aid/life jackets

4.Passage plan and away we go on our Adventure

5.Return and ‘de-service’ kit

6.Debrief, feedback and summary

7.Say goodbye to Little Nell until next time.

This is your expedition; we do our best to tailor to suit your requirements. For a list of suggested kit and equipment to bring just get in touch with us. The meeting time is around 17:00 or 18:00, returning 4-5 hours later.
